Slow Lamb Roast

Does anyone like a lamb roast where the meat literally falls off the bone? We’ve been experimenting with slow roasting lamb over 4-5 hours and it’s so easy and delicious - it’s ridiculous.

Ingredients:

A lamb roast (we use either a leg or shoulder - with or without bone both have worked well)

4-5 onions in wedges

4 cloves of garlic

Olive oil - a splash to rub on top of the lamb

Sprinkle of Smoke and Roast

Free rosemary sprigs

1 cup beef stock

Place the onion wedges and garlic on the bottom of your roasting pan. Place the lamb on top and drizzle a little olive oil, then rub in a sprinkle of Smoke and Roast on top. You can also pierce the meat and insert your rosemary sprig to help flavour the meat more!

Once you have done this, add your cup of beef stock to the pan and then cover the lamb with foil, sealing well.

Place in a slow oven at about 170 celsius, and don’t touch for 4.5-5 hours.

Once done the meat will literally fall off the bone. It’s perfect for a lazy weekend lunch or dinner.

Serves 4

Enjoy!!

Stay well everyone,
