Sometimes you just want comfort food. And this is it! It takes about 30 minutes and is great with a dash of Smoke and Curry added for extra flavour.
Ingredients:
Minced beef (about 500grams for four people)
½ cup Panko or breadcrumbs
Sprinkling of Smoke and Curry
Finely chopped onion
A drop of Smoke and Roast Garlic Essential Oil or a sprinkling of garlic powder
1 egg
1 tbsp Olive Oil
5 tbsp butter
1 tbsp Plain flour
1 cup beef stock
150 mls Cream
1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
Method:
In a bowl combine ground beef, panko, onion, garlic essential oil, Smoke and Curry sprinkling and egg. Mix till combined.
Roll into 20 small meatballs. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter and allow to melt before adding your meatballs.
Brown the meatballs by turning them continuously until brown on each side and cooked through. Transfer to a plate and cover with foil.
To make the sauce, in the same pan, 4 tablespoons of butter and flour and whisk till it turns brown. Slowly stir in 1 cup beef stock and 150 mls cream, and dijon mustard. Bring to a simmer till it starts to thicken.
Add the meatballs back to the pan and simmer for another 1-2 minutes.
Serve and enjoy.
Stay well everyone,
